JamSport Racing Returns to TCR UK with Class Victory at Brands Hatch

JamSport Racing made a highly anticipated return to TCR UK for the 2025 season finale, entering Jenson O’Neill-Going in the team’s Subaru WRX STi TCR car, its first appearance since Ant Whorton-Eales completed the 2022 campaign. The weekend also marked a special milestone, as Jenson became the youngest driver ever to compete in a touring car in the UK, aged just 16.

The team hit the ground running during Friday testing, quickly getting the Subaru dialled in and showing promising pace. Jenson adapted well to the car’s characteristics and carried that confidence into qualifying, securing P13 in a competitive field.

Saturday’s opening race saw Jenson make an excellent start, climbing up to eighth in the early laps and looking set for a strong result. A safety car period soon followed, but unfortunately an electrical issue brought Jenson’s race to an early end.

After overnight work to resolve the issue, the Subaru returned to the grid in top form for Sunday’s race. Jenson delivered a composed and controlled drive, showcasing the car’s potential to take P1 in class and cap off the team’s one-off TCR outing in style.

Speaking after the weekend, Jenson said:

“It’s been a really good, valuable weekend and I’m so thankful to be able to tick off competing in a touring car at just 16 years old. Thank you to my brother and dad for all their hard work behind the scenes, as well as the whole JamSport team. Also to New Hope Rentals, Scan and Aalco for supporting me this season.”

The weekend marked a successful return for JamSport Racing’s Subaru TCR programme, underlining the progress made in development and providing a strong foundation for future outings.
