The JamSport Racing 1-1 Driver Development Programme is a completely personalised experience designed to help drivers of all ages and abilities build confidence, improve technique and maximise their performance.
Combining simulator training with real on-track seat time and dedicated 1-to-1 coaching from an ARDS A Instructor, every programme is built around the individual driver.
Whatever your level. Whatever your experience. The programme is built around you.
HOW THE PROGRAMME WORKS
DAY 1 — SIM TRAINING
Location: JamSport Racing HQ, Northampton
Duration: 3 Hours
Your development programme begins at JamSport Racing HQ with a dedicated simulator session.
You’ll combine independent running with coached sessions, allowing you to familiarise yourself with the circuit and start developing your technique before getting into the real car.
During the session, we’ll begin working on areas including:
Racing lines · Braking points · Gear selection · Throttle application · Consistency · Driver technique
Starting on the simulator means you can learn the fundamentals in advance and arrive at the circuit ready to make the most of every lap.
DAY 2 — ON-TRACK DRIVER TRAINING
Location: Blyton Park Race Track
Duration: Full Day (normally 08:30 - 17:00)
Now it’s time to put everything into practice.
You’ll spend a full day at Blyton Park with dedicated 1-to-1 coaching from an ARDS A Instructor, developing throughout the day at a pace suited entirely to you.
Your instructor will work with you both in and out of the car, providing continuous feedback and helping you understand where improvements can be made.
The focus isn’t simply on driving faster.
It’s about developing the skills, confidence and understanding needed to become a more complete racing driver.
Who’s it for?
Whether you’re completely new to car racing or already competing, our development days are designed to help you progress.
They’re particularly suited to junior drivers looking to make the step from karting into car racing, allowing them to learn the fundamentals of driving a race car in a professional, controlled environment.
But you don’t need previous racing experience to take part.
If you can reach the pedals, you can take part.
Our youngest drivers have been just 8 years old, and every session is adapted to suit the individual driver’s age, ability and experience.
You might be:
Moving from karting into cars
Driving a race car for the first time
Looking to build confidence before applying for a race licence
Already racing and looking to improve performance
Preparing for future test days or race weekends
Looking for dedicated 1-to-1 driver coaching
Available Dates 2026/27
“The JamSport Driver Development Programme really kick-started my career in motorsport. It gave me the confidence and the fundamentals I needed to make the step from karting into junior car racing.
Starting on the sim meant I could learn the circuit, gears, braking and the basics before getting in the car, so when I arrived at Blyton I could focus on putting it all into practice and really maximise my track time.
It wasn’t something I did just once either. I completed several development days before progressing onto test days once I had my race licence.”
- Previous Development Driver
We created our Driver Development Days to give young and aspiring drivers a proper introduction to car racing. Making the step from karting into cars can be a big one, and we wanted to create an environment where drivers can learn at their own pace, without the pressure of a race weekend.
Starting on the simulator means we can teach the fundamentals before they ever get in the car, so when we get to the circuit, they’re already prepared and can really maximise their track time.
It’s not about how fast you are when you arrive — it’s about how much we can help you develop.”

FAQs
-
Our development days are actually run over two days, the first day you will spent the afternoon on our exclusive in-house simulators letting you safely hone your skills. Sim training is important especially for beginners as it gives you experience behind a wheel and builds your confidence with no risk, pressure, or responsibility.
We then travel up to Blyton Park for your 1-2-1 session with an ARDS instructor. Your instructor will talk you through the basics, from braking and racing lines to maintaining your spatial and situational awareness.
The advantage of these days being private is that the pace is completely up to you!
