MINI CHALLENGE - Knockhill | Rounds 11, 12 & 13

The MINI CHALLENGE JCW Sport Championship headed to Scotland for the annual visit to Knockhill, with three action-packed races across Rounds 11, 12 and 13. Jamsport Racing’s Henry Howarth, Archie Johnson, and Nicky Gauci all delivered strong performances to secure important points.

In qualifying, Archie set the benchmark early with two quick laps to secure a double pole position. Henry joined him on the front row in P2, while Nicky lined up in P4 after narrowly missing out on the top three.

Race 1 saw Archie lead from the start to take a lights-to-flag win along with the fastest lap. Henry followed him home in P2, maintaining strong pace throughout. Nicky’s race was made difficult when early contact left him with a puncture and broken power steering. This forced a pit stop for repairs, but he rejoined and carried the car to the finish to collect valuable points.

Race 2’s reverse grid placed Henry in P4 at the start, and he worked his way up the grid to take the win. Archie climbed from P5 to finish second with another fastest lap added to his tally, while Nicky started from pole position and secured a well-earned podium in third.

The final race brought another fierce battle between Archie and Henry. Archie got away well from pole, but the pair fought hard throughout. Henry crossed the line first on track, with Archie just behind in P2, but a post-race penalty reshuffled the order, promoting Archie to his second win of the weekend and dropping Henry to P2. Nicky struggled with car setup and pushed hard to bring the car home in P4.

Leaving Knockhill, Henry remains at the top of the championship standings, with Archie closing the gap to just nine points in second place. Nicky continues to hold fifth. With two weekends remaining, and no drop scores available, the fight for the title is going to be interesting.
