Driver Announcement - Ryan Micallef

We’re happy to announce that our 2023 scholarship runner up Ryan Micallef will be making his debut into car racing this weekend as he competes in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship.

As Ryan was the runner up for our 2023 scholarship he received a fully funded race weekend in the Fiesta Junior Championship and he’s chosen to compete in the first round, this weekend at Snetterton.

Ryan’s previous race experience includes karting at national level competing in championships such as SuperOne. His first time setting foot in a race car was for our scholarship and he showed so much potential we can’t wait to see him in action this weekend at Snetterton.

Ryan is looking forward to his one off weekend and said - “I am absolutely thrilled to be part of the Jamsport team for Round 1 of the Junior Fiesta championship. My journey with Jamsport began in June 2022 when I did my work experience at their workshop. Little did I know that this experience would lead to the opportunity to race alongside them. I am incredibly grateful for this chance and hope to make the most of it by delivering a strong performance in Round 1 of the championship. Thank you, Jamsport, for this amazing opportunity.”

Team Principal Jamie Going thinks Ryan will be a great aspect to the team - “Since first meeting Ryan in the workshop for work experience, I could quickly see his interest, ability and knowledge in motorsport. We were excited when we heard he had entered our 2023 scholarship as I knew he would have been very competitive. He came very close to winning, and that’s why I was happy to give him the opportunity of racing the first round with us. I have high hopes in what he can achieve this weekend at Snetterton.”
