Driver Announcement - Joe Knight

We are thrilled to announce that Joe Knight will be joining our team to compete in the 2024 BRSCC Airtec Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Championship.

Joe's journey in racing began at the young age of five when he first stepped into the world of karting. Over the years, he showcased remarkable skill and dedication, competing in various karting championships up until the age of thirteen. His success during karting aided his decision to make the move into car racing and 2020 saw him take the step up into the Fiesta Junior Championship. In his debut year, Joe demonstrated his potential by finishing 4th overall in the championship, with a notable podium finish securing third place.

In 2022, Joe embarked on the next phase of his racing career, transitioning into senior racing by joining the BRSCC Fiesta Championship. His inaugural season in the championship saw him compete in the MK6 category, where he impressed with a remarkable third-place finish overall in his class. Building on this success, Joe moved up to the more powerful ST240 cars in 2023, finishing the season with a commendable 6th place in the standings.

Expressing his excitement about joining Jamsport, Joe said, “Joining Jamsport is something I've been excited about for a while now. I feel it is a strong opportunity for me to develop personally as a driver, while putting on the best performance I can this year for the team."

Reflecting on his experience in the ST240 class, Joe added, “I competed in ST240s last year for the first time, and used last year as a year to gain experience in the class and progress myself as a driver. I feel I have an excellent shot as some strong results this year, and can't wait to get it started.”

Team Principal, Jamie Going added “I’ve seen Joe coming through the fiesta ranks from Juniors, he has had some good results previously and I was really happy that they have chosen to run with us this season. After spending some time with Joe I can see he has great potential, I am really looking forward to helping him, he will learn a lot from the team to enhance his performance.”
