Driver Announcement - Jenson O’Neill-Going

We’re excited to announce that Jenson O’Neill-Going will be competing in his first full motorsport season in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship, starting this weekend at Silverstone!

Jenson has been part of the team since it began back in 2013, and has eagerly been waiting for his turn to get racing.

Since just 7 years old Jenson has been behind the wheel of various cars, including touring cars and single-seaters. He has spent the past few years working alongside some very experienced and talented drivers to prepare him for his motorsport career. He has shown he is very dedicated to the sport and regularly trains at home on his simulator, he also understands the importance of fitness and has recently begun working on this.

Jenson is currently studying at Silverstone UTC for his GCSEs. We feel this will help propel his career as he will learn at the heart of motorsport in the UK. He will be able to utilise his engineering course and use this to develop both on track and in the workshop.

Jenson has spent the past few years competing at national level karting and has worked his way up through the classes. However, his main focus has always been on cars as he eagerly awaited his 14th birthday to be able to get behind the wheel of one of our Fiesta race cars.

As many of you know he competed in the final 2 rounds of the Junior Fiesta Championship last season and it’s safe to say his first-ever race saw him involved in one of the worst incidents the championship has seen. He didn’t let this knock his confidence and returned to the track just 6 weeks later where he came away with a class win and 2 fastest laps.

Jenson is looking forward to getting back on track and said “I’ve been waiting a long time to finally be able to go racing, I started testing at just 7 years old and have been impatient to go racing ever since. I made my debut towards the end of last season and showed competitive pace so I look forward to being able to compete in my first full season”

Jamie Going, Team Principle (Jenson’s Dad) added “It’s a proud dad moment for Jenson to be racing his first Full Season in Fiesta Juniors. After his ups and downs from the last 2 weekends of last season I am proud of his development and maturity and looking forward to seeing what he can achieve this year”
